Description
With modern children’s books often full of toilet humour and zombies, millions of parents are crying out for traditional, moral-rich stories that hark back to a bygone era of storytelling.
It’s a challenge Chris Tetreault-Blay has accepted with gusto, and his new children’s book, ‘It’s a Long Way to the Moon’, enchants young readers with rhyme, illustrations and an empowering story.
Synopsis:
‘It’s a Long Way to the Moon’ tells the story of a moth who one night decides to try and fly to the moon. Along the way, he meets several animal friends who try to help him, one of which teaches him a much simpler way that his dream can be realised.
“My goal was to write something fun, engaging yet still capitalizing on the comfort and innocence children crave from books,” explains the author, an accomplished writer. “Many parents want to bring children’s literature back to a more traditional era, where story was used to soothe children and expand their horizons. When I put pen to paper for this project, that was my goal.”
Continuing, “Parents and children will have a lot of fun reading the book to each other, as they lose themselves in a world of rhyme and get drawn into the adventure…an adventure unlike anything else on the shelves.”
